The Roanoke County School Board is pleased to present Opportunity Ready 2024, a video presentation showcasing the state of Roanoke County Public Schools.

Students can begin planning their 2025-2026 academic year!  We are pleased to offer an extensive variety of opportunities for our students, designed to meet a wide range of needs. Our goal is to prepare every student, in every school, and in every classroom to be Opportunity Ready with the skills needed for success in today’s classroom and workplace.

This Veterans Day, many schools across Roanoke County will hold performances, celebrations and special events to honor, thank and remember our Veterans.  We will be sharing photos and videos from different celebrations across Roanoke County Public Schools. 

On October 24, the Virginia Board of Education recognized 141 schools for their high achievement and continued improvement as part of its Exemplar School Recognition Program.  Five schools from Roanoke County were recognized for the academic achievements.
